The advanced Skyblade designs embody the rich racing heritage of Loftsails, now tailored for the competitive world of foiling.

With foiling setups offering significantly reduced drag compared to fin setups, the need for speed and precise control during flight is paramount. Recognizing the demands placed on racers pushing their gear to the limits, the entire Skyblade range is equipped with a rigid 7-batten, 4-cam frame to provide exceptional stability for optimal foiling performance.

To ensure efficient airflow and maximize performance, the wide mast pockets of cam sails require firm tension. Drawing from the expertise of its slalom counterpart, Skyblade incorporates a unique pocket construction. The webbing of the downhaul roller is attached to not only the main mast panel but also both mast pocket sides, evenly distributing the load and resulting in a firm, clean, and effortlessly rotating leading edge.

Smooth cam rotation allows sailors to maintain focus during races and facilitates the delicate balance required during gybes and transitions.

The mast pocket sides are constructed using a lightweight 2-mil quad axial x-ply material, ensuring optimal luff condition without the risk of folding memory.

Continued development has led to further optimization of the sail profile, with a slimmer back section delivering increased forward drive and improved acceleration. To balance the additional power and increased speed, both the aspect ratio and top batten have been reduced.

To withstand the rigors of high-performance racing on and off the course, Skyblade features x-ply panels in the central window, leech, and foot, providing exceptional durability and resistance to UV damage.
